Southfield, MI. May 5, 2020 — Southfield-based technology solutions company Apex Digital Solutions has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the Best Workplaces for 2020.

Hitting newsstands on May 12th as part of the May/June issue of Inc. Magazine, and with a prominent feature on Inc.com, this list recognizes private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits. After collecting data from more than 3,000 submissions, Inc. chose only 395 finalists for this year’s list.

“It is an honor for Apex to be recognized for fostering a culture of empowerment with both our customers and our team,” said Jason Lambiris, CEO of Apex Digital Solutions, “We are proud to provide our team members with an environment that promotes growth, compassion, and a healthy work/life balance.”

Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on engagement, benefits and perks, confidence in the future, and effectiveness of management.  Inc. then gathered, analyzed, and audited the data and ranked the employers using a composite score of survey results.

“Building a great corporate culture comes only from strong leadership,” says Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “The companies on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from, especially now, when company culture is more important to the workforce than ever.”

A few ways Apex puts culture first:

  • Employee recognition programs including: Cheers for Peers, the Unicorn Award, and the Grit Award
  • Company sponsored volunteer activities, paid volunteer days to support a cause the employee is passionate about, and charitable giving opportunities
  • Monthly all-company meetings, team building activities, personal development opportunities, and social events
  • Consistent communication and feedback through bimonthly engagement surveys, weekly 1:1s, and daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly team meeting rhythms

The recognition follows Apex Digital Solutions being named to CRN’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list, the 2019 Cool Places to Work in Michigan by Crain’s Detroit, and receiving a 2019 Best of MichBusiness award in the “Tech Guru” category. The company also recently celebrated its 20th year in business.
